2019 Beer Festival – Chairman’s statement

Rainhill Beer Festival – 2019

We are now getting ready for our 17th annual Charity Beer Festival and before I start telling what we have planned I must give a big thank you to all our sponsors, volunteers and friends for all their help over the last 17 years.

Without the contributions made by our sponsor our festival wouldn’t even get off the ground, so a big thank you to all of them. To our army of friends and volunteers who work tirelessly erecting the bars, putting the barrels of ale on the racking, manning the bars, greet you when you arrive and clean up after closing time – a big thank you.

To date, and along with the contribution made by our Christmas Float collections, we have donated over £350,000 to local charities and good causes. This is an amazing amount of money and long may it continue.

We try to improve the event year on year and this, our 17th Festival will be no exception. We realised that there was a lot of congestion at the lager/cider bar so year we are going the separate the bars to reduce the numbers queuing. Also more benches will be placed around the inside wall of the marquee so you can rest those tired legs.

We have always been complimented on our beer selections and this year will be no exception. I can’t say any more under the penalty of death, but the variety of ales will be amazing.

If anyone would like to sponsor a barrel of ale or come along as a volunteer please get in touch on enquiries@rainhillbeerfest.org
